Talisman
First built in 1979, after the success of the JEM 77 float fishing reel, the John Milner Talisman centerpin fishing reel is a handcrafted, traditional, full-caged fishing reel that is skillfully designed for the world’s most demanding salmon fishing rivers.
Constructed with a brass bushing for dependability and longevity, the Talisman fishing reel is meticulously handmade by John for those who appreciate the Hardy Silex caged centerpin reel. This centerpin float reel is finished with John’s handbuilt three-piece brass and ebonite handles and a solid brass reel foot.
The Talisman centerpin reel is made from solid bar stock 6061 aluminum, C360 hard brass, and stainless steel. All the brass parts are then further plated with 24K gold for that striking finish which has made the Talisman float fishing reel desirable by collectors and users alike.
Both left- and right-hand models are available for this John Milner centerpin reel. Please check the FAQ for more information on check-lever placement. The Talisman is available in three colour combinations: a silver spool and root beer brown cage, a silver spool and light bronze cage, or a silver spool with a silver cage.
